Hybrid Golf Clubs Review
70Hybrid golf clubs are worth a SERIOUS look for those who don't break 80 consistently. Easily the best overall set of irons I've ever owned.
HiBore HYBRID Golf Clubs
I
demoed the graphite S-flex version. The long and mid irons were SO MUCH MORE
EASY to hit solid, high, and straight versus my RAC HTs. I gained about 5 yards
per club vs the HTs. Since getting these three weeks ago I've hit some of the
greatest shots of my life with the 3,4,5,6 irons. Played today and stuck a 4
iron to 7 feet on a 183-yard par 3 ( I've NEVER come so close to the pin on
that hole).
Sadly, the PW and 9 iron are not as exceptional as the 3-8 irons. The HiBore PW
and 9 had a hollow, clunky, un-soid feel about them, although they performed as
well as my RAC HT 9 and PW.
I discovered that you can special order through any retailer a broken set that
comes directly from Cleveland - so I traded my RAC Hts in for the HiBore 3-8
irons. Picked up a 43 degree Cobra S9 PW on ebay to fill out the set (the
HiBore 8 iron is 37 degrees and I reshafted the S9 PW with a high kickpoint
Dynamic Gold SL steel shaft which helps make up for the 6 degree difference).
FYI, I've owned for over a year the original 22 degree Cleveland HiBore HYBRID
Golf Clubs (NOT THE IRONS) and really do like it, but I must say the 21 degree
HiBore 3 IRON and the 24 degree HiBore 4 IRON are easier to hit and better
performers than the original 22 degree HYBRID.
Lastly, I purchased through adams hybrid golf clubs a set of HiBore iron covers for $40.
They work just fine and are not a real hassle to take off/ put on. Another
option is to take some clear 3M packing tape and cover up the inverted crown
portion to protect the finish. As I'm typically lazy and like buying golf
stuff, I opted for the head covers.
These are truly handicap-lowering irons that point to the future of iron

Callaway Heavewood Hybrid Golf Club
This club lines up well and gives me confidence for 220yd. I cannot seem
to work draw the ball with this club (draw is my natural shot). This
club just flies straight with a slight fade at the end. When I try the
fade, it works very well. After 5 rounds with 3h, I bought 2h on ebay
with YS-6 stiff shaft. I am able to work the ball any direction but at
a lower-mid trajectory. Both clubs feels solid with a characteristic
callaway 'ping'. If you like to draw the ball, ditch the stock shaft
and get yourself something better, the stock shaft is too soft for to
work the ball consistently. I'm going to put a NV hybrid or a fujikura
banzai on my 3h soon, much better then the taylor made hybrid golf clubs I have tried.
